Flat convex cylindrical mirror

A flat convex cylindrical mirror that focuses light in only one direction, similar in appearance to a flat convex lens. It is a part of a cylinder and can replace a spherical surface. A cylindrical lens can convert point light into linear light and can be used as a linear laser generator to generate laser light. This type of lens magnifies at the same size, so it can stretch and image, so it can focus light into a slit or concentrate light into a linear scanning detector. Due to strict tolerances in tilt and wedge shape, high-quality imaging lenses will produce straight lines or better imaging compared to standard cylindrical lenses.

A flat convex cylindrical mirror is designed for applications that require one-dimensional convergence of light sources, similar to the function of a spherical lens. However, the effect of a spherical lens on incident light is symmetrical in both directions, while a cylindrical lens only has one direction of action on incident light. The substrate materials include N-BK7 glass and ultraviolet fused silica, and all materials can choose not to be coated or coated with Anti-reflective coating.
